Quick! somebody do the dance with me. ahhh yeaaa back two times up two times KICK back two times up two times KICK. Dap. spin around back heel kick! tiiiight!!! pardon my glee.
Jason KIDD, when this series began I was like I hope the other team wins just to stick it to Cleveland’s bitter overzealous keep beating a dead horse fans as well as that bogus “Draft” Lottery fairy tale hog wash but also in my mind was that it’d be dope and fitting for Jason Kidd to win a ring. Without a doubt you’d be hard pressed to convince me of someone more deserving than the 38-yr old Kidd. It just seems like yesterday I was watching him play at The University of California in admiration and then in his early with days with the Mavericks along side Jamaal Mashburn. ( GO UK) and the other “J” on that team. (it was three “J”s but I’m drawing a blank on the third one., oh well, I’ll Google it later, no wait. I’ll Google it now. brb)…. JIM JACKSON! That’s who it was. Now here we are years later and Kidd is still getting it done with two more “J”s Jason Terry and JJ Barea, all the while creating history by being the oldest starting point guard to ever win an NBA Title. Hats off to you Mr. Kidd for a phenomenal career known best for crafty passing and insane court vision.( Sidebar: How you ended up 3rd on the All-Time 3 point list is beyond me but kudos.) After the game, I watched Sportscenter and it was more so about the other team losing than it was about the WORLD CHAMPION DALLAS MAVERICKS winning. It’s unfortunate that not enough attention and deserving attention goes to the right people at times, so I just wanted to do my journalistic part to contribute media attention to a future Hall Of Famer. It was without a remarkable series, (albeit a more remarkable series if MY Boston Celtics were in it and I actually cared who won each game) Finals MVP, Dirk Nowitzki, played exceptional, the Jet finally got off the runway the last three games and Kidd finally got that RING baby. So will he ride off into the sunset like many have suggested? (Sh#t, I know I would. ahahahaha.) Congrats to the whole Dallas Mavericks as a team, organization, record label and crew. YOU DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS.
uh ooohhh dance time!!
